Stewardship Framework
A draft framework for understanding stewardship as research coordination, public goods support, ecosystem alignment, and accountable transparency rather than ownership.
This framework describes a proposed stewardship posture. It does not create protocol control, treasury control, or formal governance authority.
The initiative's central premise is that open protocol infrastructure should not depend on a single owner for legitimacy.
Stewardship means helping preserve conditions for credible neutrality: careful research, transparent process, responsible disclosure, and support for shared public goods.
Research coordination is expected to connect contributors around long-horizon questions that do not fit short release cycles.
Topics include contribution memory, governance design, anti-Sybil systems, security practice, developer infrastructure, and the institutional assumptions needed for durable protocols.
The framework favors bounded authority, public reasoning, conflict-of-interest standards, and processes that can be inspected by the ecosystem.
It avoids presenting any informal group as having authority that has not been clearly established and disclosed.
Ecosystem coordination may include convening research discussions, documenting shared needs, supporting public goods planning, and helping contributors understand the initiative's boundaries.
Coordination should not become gatekeeping. The framework treats plural participation as a source of protocol resilience.
Transparency is expected to include clear publication standards for reports, governance records, treasury frameworks, grant records, and security disclosures.
The framework distinguishes planned disclosure categories from records that are already active or published.
